After a Bachelor of 6 semesters (exceptionally 7 semesters), you leave the university with a first professionally qualifying university degree. Or go on to study on a 3- to 4-semester Master's program.

The teacher training program consists of three parts: the Bachelor the Master's program based on it, and a Referendariat [mandatory school teaching practice]. The so-called Master of Education is equivalent to the former First State Examination. The Master's program is followed by an 18-month period of school teaching practice which ends with a second exam.

First Law Exam

Law studies comprise two parts, studies in law and the Referendariat [practical legal internship]. The first state exam will be done at the end of the 9-semester course. After a subsequent 24-month legal internship, a second state exam will be taken.
